The Edmond North Huskies are a few years removed from hoisting the gold ball and bringing home the state championship. This year’s squad, led by second-year head coach Scott Norris, would love to bring home the title again. Morris says that his team is hungry and ready to take that next step. “Offensively we have a good mix of inside and outside players,” Norris said. “Our biggest thing on defense is we do not want to give up easy baskets. We want every shot to be contested.” Norris’ squad is a senior-laden group, led by Dalante Shannon (6-2, Sr), who averaged 16 points, four assists, and four rebounds last season. He will help lead the Huskies this season. Landry Harris (5-9, Sr) had a ten point and five assist average a year ago and will be expected to be a big time player. In the post position, Abraham Aghasedo (6-7, Sr) will look to increase his nine-point average last season and will also be a force defensively. Other players to watch will be Joell Wilson (6-1, Sr), Josh Price (6-3, Sr), Sam Walker (6-1, Sr), Dylan Warlick (6-5, Fr), Cameron Lee (6-3, Sr), and Layton Moore (6-7, Sr).
