GIRLS

Coach: Jennifer Douglas

2019-20 Record: 15-12

After falling short of hoisting the gold ball in 2019 and having their postseason cut short last season due the pandemic, the Lady Indians are ready to get back on the court and prove that they are a force to be reckoned with. Head coach Jennifer Douglas says her squad is beyond prepared for this season. “This team is full of fire,” Douglas said. “They are ready to get back to the state finals. These girls are hungry. They come to practice everyday to work hard, make themselves better, and each other better.” The Lady Indians’ leading scorer the past two seasons, Ashlyn Evans-Thompson (5-9, Jr) returns to lead her team from the guard position. She is a hard nosed player and never gives up. Jaylin Reveles (5-8, Sr) is a left-handed, crafty guard that is a good shooter and a phenomenal passer. Point guard Tetona Woods (5-5, Jr) is a transfer from Calumet but looks to make an immediate impact. She is smart with the ball and aggressive on defense and should be a difference maker this season. Paige Primeaux (5-10, Jr)produced really big for the Lady Indians last year. She was key at rebounding and defending the post players. She should be more of a scoring threat this season as well. Kenzie Holsted (5-6, Sr), Janae Black-Hamon (5-9, Jr), Pauline Black-Hamon (6-0, Fr), and Bryhanna Blackowl (6-0, Fr) will be other players to watch for El Reno this season. SOMETHING TO WATCH - The Lady Indians were the 2019 Class 5A Runner-up.
