Coach: Roy Wyckoff

2019-20 Record: 8-15

A young basketball team can be both exciting and frustrating, but for head coach Roy Wyckoff, the squad he has returning is nothing but exciting. “The girls play ex-tremely hard and are really starting to believe in each other. We have two senior guards that have started since they were freshmen,” said coach Wyckoff. Meya Case (5-6, Sr.) is an explosive guard who averaged 13.4 points and 3.4 rebounds a game. She is a vocal leader and a three-point shooter. Sydney Brown (5-6, Sr.) has multiple college offers on the table thanks to her ability to play multiple positions effectively. Brown averaged 8.7 points and 2.4 steals last season. Nariyah Parks (5-4, Jr.) is one of the top defenders on the team and coach Wyckoff feels she’s one of the best in the state. Gabrielle Tilley (5-5, Fr.) is a super talented freshman and a pure shooter. Her high basketball IQ and relentless play makes her a top freshman to watch. Another freshman to watch is Caid Jefferson (5-4, Fr.). Jefferson is quick with or without the ball and a great defender. Other players to watch include Lydia Laverty (5-6, So.), Audrey Boyd (5-6, Jr.), and Ruby Barker (5-4, So.). SOMETHING TO WATCH – Both Case and Brown are four-year staters for Yukon.
