Mustang's Claude Moates – Canadian Valley Technology Center Athlete Spotlight

Mustang High School junior Claude Moates is wrestling in the 170-pound weight class, which is one of the more competitive weight classes in Class 6A. Moates is not one to shy away from a challenge. The same goes for Moates in the classroom. As a student at Canadian Valley Technology Center, Moates is taking courses in Computer Programming.
“CV Tech has the Computer Programming class that I want to take. It’s exactly what I wanted to take,” said Moates.
Like being on the wrestling team, Moates said being at CV Tech is like being a member of another team. All working together to gain the skills needed to become computer programmers.
“I’ve enjoyed getting to learn about programming,” said Moates. “It’s something I plan to do after graduation.”
Moates is uncertain if he will wrestle in college. Being a member of the wrestling team at Mustang has motivated him to consider trying it, but at the moment he is unsure. However, he loves representing Mustang and being with his teammates.
“We are a family,” said Moates. “Everyone helps one another and we all have fun. I was really excited to wrestle this year.”
Moates said if anyone is looking for a school that will not only give them a great program to follow, but also be a great way to extend your education while in school, then you should look to CV Tech and all the programs they have to offer.
“Make sure you find what you want to do most and look at all the classes they have,” said Moates.
In his free time you can usually find Moates playing video games and hanging out with friends and family.
