By Travis Sloat
Mason Moreau is a 16-year-old with a plan, and he’s utilizing everything Canadian Valley Technology Center has to offer in order to achieve his dreams.
“I’m currently looking at different types of engineering,” Moreau said. “I know I want to be some type of engineer in the future. My dream school is Oklahoma State University. I’m taking a pre-engineering class at Tech, and it’s really helping me understand the fundamentals and mechanics of early engineering and how to put that to use in real world situations.”
Moreau is a sophomore tight end for the Mustang Broncos, who spent some time in the playoffs this year.
“We [the team] are feeling confident, enthusiastic, and ready to go recently,” he said. “That’s a common attitude for our team.”
In his free time, Moreau said he enjoys hunting and hanging out with friends and family. He said he had nothing but high praise for the faculty and staff at CV Tech and their passion to help him succeed later in life.
“They are great,” Moreau said. “They are always quick to answer any questions I have, and to help me understand something if I don’t get it the first time.”
When it comes to folks helping Moreau along the way, he said along with his instructors at CV Tech, he needed to added Coaches Blankenship and Prestige to the list.
“They’re great coaches,” he said. “They teach the team so much more than just football, and they are helping to make us better every day.”
