Piedmont's Lindsey Amos: Mom of the Month – Presented by INTEGRIS Ashley Cochran, DO – IFC Surrey Hills – Family Medicine

By Ember McElrath
Piedmont "Mom of the Month" Lindsey Amos had tears of joy and surprise when she first heard the news of her award.
“I don’t care for the limelight. I love to volunteer, I always have and I’ve never done it to get any sort of recognition,” said Lindsey.
Lindsey has been volunteering for too many years to count. Starting off just making copies for the school, to Sister’s United, to the high school’s booster club, back to little league, and now back to football booster club again. Lindsey holds the position of Board Secretary for the club, but does a little bit of everything.
“No doubt, we have a group of fabulous mothers and fathers that volunteer on our board, we all just pitch in and get it done,” said Linsdey.
The reason Lindsey does what she does for the booster and the team is all about the players.
“I want them to have everything they need to be successful,” said Lindsey. “It might sound crazy but I think of them all as my kids and always try to do everything with them in mind and their parents.”
Not only does she love the players, but she truly loves the town and community.
“The only reason I have stayed around for ten years in because I love this town, these parents, these coaches and these players,” said Lindsey. “If I don’t do it, I worry who will and I can’t let that happen.”
Lindsey has been married to her best friend for almost 20 years and they have three wonderful boys together. When not involved in athletics, Lindsey and her family love spending time in the outdoors. Hunting and fishing are one of their favorite pastimes.
