The cancellation of spring sports in Oklahoma may have put a damper on the season, but Edmond North soccer fans have something to celebrate. Hannah Bourbonnais, Paige MaGill, Presley Nelson, and Cindy Rogers are four members of the Lady Huskies soccer team. This group of four also took the top four spots in the Edmond Area Girls Soccer Player poll, combining to rack up over eighty-five percent of the total votes.

 

Q: What is your grade and what position do you play?

HB: 11th grade, center back

PM: 11th grade, center back

PN 11th grade, left forward

CR: 12th grade, defensive mid

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete and why?

HB: Julie Ertz. I have admired her ability to be versatile as she has transitioned from a center back to a midfielder.

PM: Julie Ertz. I remember watching her during the World Cup, and she stood out to me. She played defense, and I thought she was someone I could learn from.

PN: Simone Biles. She has worked so hard to get to where she is today.

CR: Julie Ertz, she’s so fun to watch and her work rate is incredible!

Q: What is your favorite meal?

HB: Chicken alfredo

PM: Olive Garden’s chicken alfredo

PN: Chicken nuggets

Q: What is your favorite smartphone app?

HB: Snapchat to talk with my friends.

PM: The Starbucks app. After practice a lot of times I'll use it to order a drink and I'll go pick it up.

Q: What has been your favorite memory of playing soccer?

HB: My first season playing competitively. We did not lose a game.

PM: Freshman year against Memorial. We had to go to PK’s

PN: Having the opportunity to go to regionals and experience playing toplevel teams from other states.

CR: At a camp I did they made us yell “I am a college athlete” and it helped show that everything is about having the right mentality to achieve any goals.
