Midwest City Lady Bombers - 2020 Basketball Preview Feature - Presented by Tom Kilburn - Shelter insurance
Coach: Megan Maloy
2019-20 Record: 17-9
Legacy is everything for the Lady Bombers and living up to it is never easy. Head coach Megan Maloy said this team has the talent to do so. “We return 11 players who made a run to the area finals this past season falling short to Edmond North. We have a ton of experience and are deep in our bench allowing us to be able to play with high intensity for the full game,” said Maloy. Blesseth Dillingham (5-2, Sr.) is an high-energy guard with explosive speed. Kennedi Grant (5-8, Sr.) is a strong at guard and can shoot with range. Taliyah Anderson (5-5, Jr.) is quick and a high intensity player. Bryanna Williams (5-6, Jr.) is a pure shooter. Taniya Looney (5-9, Jr.) does all of the little things right and is quick on both ends of the floor. LaTasha Mitchell (5-8, So.) has excellent range giving opponents trouble when trying to guard her. Amber Guy (5-10, Sr.) is a transfer student expected to make an impact this season. Emani Jones (5-8, Sr.) is a strong, athletic forward with good speed. Myracle Washington (5-7, So.) and Jaeda Ray (5-2, Sr.) will see quality minutes as well. SOMETHING TO WATCH – Look for Kennedi Grant to have a big year in her final season of high school basketball. She suffered an injury as a sophomore and has bounced back as good as ever. Her leadership and skill set will only help push this team forward.
